    Abstract: There are provided methods for assaying biological specimens for steroids (androgens and estrogens), Sex Hormone-Binding Globulin (SHBG) and Albumin in order to calculate the free and bioavailable steroid concentration based on the laws of mass action and association constants predicated on the identification that one molar equivalent of SHBG contains two molar equivalents of steroid binding sites.
