  • Publication number: 20220218865
Abstract: An ultraviolet cyclonic fluid dosing system for disinfecting fluid materials is described. The dosing system includes a dosing chamber that includes a cylindrical chamber portion and a conical chamber portion. The cylindrical chamber portion has a fluid outlet and a fluid inlet that causes fluid material to enter the upper chamber and travel a helical path down through the upper chamber and into the conical chamber, from where it travels upward in exits through the fluid outlet. As the fluid material passes through the cylindrical and conical chambers, it is dosed with disinfecting ultraviolet light. The system advantageously increases the exposure time of the fluid material to the disinfecting ultraviolet light is increased as compared to non-cyclonic dosing systems having the same volume.

  • Publication number: 20170086282
Abstract: A vehicle light system includes an LED lamp mounted to an outer body of a vehicle. The LED lamp includes a frame, a diode array having a plurality of individual diodes fixed relative to the frame, and a control unit fixed relative to the frame. The control unit controls a current flow to the diode array and measures a value indicative of the current flow to the diode array. The control unit further compares the measured value to a cut-off value, the cut-off value being a parameter that is indicative of a luminous intensity of the LED lamp. If the measured value is less than the cut-off value, the control unit cuts the current flow to the diode array such that the LED lamp is turned off.

  • Publication number: 20170022674
Abstract: A grinding wheel assembly for grinding grooves into road pavement has a rotating wheel with a plurality of parallel tracks spaced around the periphery of the wheel. A number of blocks are removably secured to the tracks of the wheel. Bits are removably secured to the blocks in a predetermined pattern to grind parallel grooves in the road pavement as the wheel rotates and the assembly moves along the road pavement. The bits on each block are arranged in a predetermined pattern so that bits on adjacent blocks are not aligned to hit the same groove in the road pavement, but bits on selected non-adjacent blocks are aligned to hit the same groove in the road pavement during rotation of the wheel. Preferably, the bits have a conical, polycrystalline diamond tip and a cylindrical base.
