  • Patent number: 11919160
Abstract: A method for controlling a robotic device includes observing a first object associated with an object type at one or more first locations in an environment over a period of time prior to a current time. The method also includes generating a probability distribution associated with the one or more first locations based on observing the first object over the period of time. The method further includes observing, at the current time, a second object associated with the object type at a second location in the environment. The method still further includes determining a probability of the second object being at the second location based on observing the second object at the second location. The probability is based on the probability distribution associated with the one or more first locations. The method also includes controlling the robotic device to perform an action based on the probability being less than a threshold.

  • Publication number: 20230417233
Abstract: Provided herein are articles of manufacture, systems, and methods employing a gas-deflector plate in low to ultra-high vacuum systems that use differential pumping (e.g., gas-target particle accelerators, mass spectrometers, and windowless delivery ports). In certain embodiments, the gas-deflector plate is configured to be positioned between higher and lower pressure regions in a pressurized system, wherein the gas-deflector plate has a channel therethrough shaped and/or angled such that jetting gas moving through the channel enters the lower pressure region at an angle offset from the vertical axis of the gas-deflector plate and/or the channel. In other embodiments, a jet-deflector component is employed such that the jetting gas strikes such jet-deflector component and is re-directed in another direction.

  • Publication number: 20220388768
Abstract: A device for aiding in cleaning a corrugated surface includes a container and a plurality of teeth is disclosed. The container includes a bottom portion, an upper portion, and a pair of opposing side walls defining an opening configured to receive materials therein. The bottom portion includes a plurality of slot. Each of the plurality of teeth are coupled to and extend from first ends of corresponding ones of the plurality of slots and are configured to be at least partially disposed within corresponding grooves of the corrugated surface to aid in causing materials to be received within the opening of the container.

  • Patent number: 11174129
Abstract: A threshold drain system for redirecting water entering an elevator shaft at an opening thereof is provided. The threshold drain system may include a catch channel and a sill plate. The catch channel may include a forward wall connectable to an interior wall of the elevator shaft along and below the threshold. The sill plate extends from a rearward wall of the catch channel and is offset rearward relative to at least a portion of a vertical surface of the finished floor facing the elevator shaft to define a rearward offset. The forward wall may include a flange extending from an upper end of the forward wall at an elevation lower than a bottom of the sill plate so as to define a vertical offset. The rearward offset and the vertical offset at least in part define a passageway configured to direct the water into the catch channel.

  • Publication number: 20030021400
Abstract: In a preferred embodiment, the system of the present invention comprises two or more bridge servers; one or more conferencing servers, each of which is configured to communicate with at least one of said bridge servers; and a transaction server, in communication with each conferencing server. The transaction server is configured to manage conferencing resources among the conferencing servers. Each conferencing server is preferably configured to monitor bridge status for each bridge assigned to it and to provide bridge status information to the transaction server. The transaction server and conferencing servers are preferably further configured such that bridge servers assigned to a first conferencing server are subsequently assigned to a second conferencing server by the transaction server if the first conferencing server fails.
