  • Patent number: 10728124
Abstract: An illustrative example network monitoring device performs a lossless byte level compression of time series data communicated over the network. The device includes a processor configured to monitor a plurality of communications over the network. For each communication, the device determines whether a message included in the communication was included in a previous communication. When the message was not included in a previous communication, the processor associates a message identifier with the communication, associates a time indicator with the communication, and stores information regarding content of the communication. When the message was included in a previous communication, the device determines a difference in time between the communication and the previous communication and determines any content difference between content of the communication and content of the previous communication.

  • Publication number: 20120185063
Abstract: Disclosed is electronic control unit data recorder readable code which is configured for storage in memory of an electronic control unit data recorder, such as a vehicle data recorder. The code is configured to provide that the electronic control unit data recorder has access to a plurality of configurations, receives data from at least one electronic control unit and uses at least a portion of the data to determine which configuration to use during data collection and processing. The configuration which the electronic control unit data recorder uses dictates what additional data is received from at least one electronic control unit by the electronic control unit data recorder, as well as what data regarding the electronic control unit is stored and/or transmitted by the electronic control unit data recorder.

  • Patent number: 6980898
Abstract: A turbine acceleration control system for a transmission in a vehicle determines a desired turbine acceleration based on a downshift type and an altitude of the vehicle. The turbine acceleration control system determines a downshift type that results from one of a throttle increase, a manual downshift, or vehicle deceleration. An altitude module determines an altitude of the vehicle. A vehicle controller communicates with one or more lookup tables to determine the desired turbine acceleration based on the downshift type and the altitude. Additionally, current turbine speed and torque converter slip are considered by the controller in determining the desired turbine acceleration.
