Patent number: 11756281Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for splat filling a three-dimensional (ā3Dā) model using semi-measured data. The splat filling includes generating measured data points for a 3D representation of a scene with positions that are measured from scanning the scene, and with color values defined from measured color values of used pixels from a two-dimensional (ā2Dā) of the scene. The splat filling includes generating a semi-measured data point based on an unused pixel of the 2D image. The position of the semi-measured data point is derived based on a separation between the unused pixel and one or more used pixels of the 2D image, and based on the positions of measured data points that are defined with the measured color values of the one or more pixels. The color values of the semi-measured data point are defined directly from the measured color values associated with the unused pixel.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 2023Date of Patent: September 12, 2023Assignee: Illuscio, Inc.Inventor: Michael Brandon Casey

Publication number: 20210250324Abstract: Contact information may be automatically generated on a device based on an interaction by the user of the device with another individual. A record of the interaction may be obtained by the device and, if it is determined that the interaction satisfies an interaction rule, information from the record of the interaction may be utilized to obtain contact information for the individual. The contact information may be obtained by extracting the contact information directly from the record of the interaction or by extracting an identifier of the individual from the record of the interaction and querying a remote device for the contact information. The obtained contact information may then be stored on the user's device.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 2, 2021Publication date: August 12, 2021Inventors: Brandon Casey, Joel Levin, Eddie Fan, Melissa Chan

Patent number: 10630874Abstract: A wastewater monitoring system uses a camera in a fixed location in a wastewater pipe. The camera is coupled to a sensor that measures some characteristic of material in the wastewater pipe. The sensor is programmed with one or more alarms that, when triggered, cause the sensor to wake up the camera and command the camera to take one or more photos. Sensor data, such as current time/date, location, and the characteristics of material in the wastewater pipe, is sent by the sensor to the camera, which overlays one or more photos with visible text information corresponding to the received sensor data. The sensor can wake up the camera and command the camera to turn on the camera's Wi-Fi interface, which allows a wastewater control system in a remote location to communicate directly with the camera.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 2018Date of Patent: April 21, 2020Assignee: I&EYE Enterprises, LLCInventors: Brandon Casey Freeman, Brian Dennis Beatty

Patent number: 9756231Abstract: A wastewater monitoring system uses a camera in a fixed location in a wastewater pipe that takes a still photograph of a location of interest at defined intervals, such as five minutes. The photographs are retrieved from the camera, and are then analyzed on a computer system that aggregates the still photographs into a video stream, allows a user to define an area of interest on one of the still photographs, then uses suitable algorithms or heuristics to detect changes between the photographs in the video stream. Video clips of interest are then generated using the detected changes, and are identified to a user so the user can review the video clips of interest to determine flows in the wastewater pipe that was monitored.Type: GrantFiled: February 27, 2015Date of Patent: September 5, 2017Assignee: I&Eye Enterprises, LLCInventor: Brandon Casey Freeman

Patent number: 9619691Abstract: A method of detecting objects in three-dimensional (3D) point clouds and detecting differences between 3D point clouds and the objects therein is disclosed. A method includes receiving a first scene 3D point cloud and a second scene 3D point cloud, wherein the first scene 3D point cloud and the second scene 3D point cloud include first and second target objects, respectively; aligning the first scene 3D point cloud and the second scene 3D point cloud; detecting the first and second target objects from the first scene 3D point cloud and the second scene 3D point cloud, respectively; comparing the detected first target object with the detected second target object; and identifying, based on the comparison, one or more differences between the detected first target object and the detected second target object. Further aspects relate to detecting changes of target objects within scenes of multiple 3D point clouds.Type: GrantFiled: March 6, 2015Date of Patent: April 11, 2017Assignees: University of Southern California, Chevron U.S.A.
