A set of user inputs may comprise a selection of an asset icon (representing an asset) and an indication of user-selected location in the display environment, the first location being different than an original location of the asset icon. In response, the display environment engine opens and displays a new instance of the asset at the user-selected location. Finally, the collaboration engine configures the second device to display the digital asset within the second scaled workspace based on the second location and the second size. Notably, the container metadata correlates to the appearance of the digital asset on the first display, and the appearance of the digital asset on the second display correlates to the container metadata.
