Publication number: 20240025309Abstract: A child seat includes a tensioning mechanism that selectively applies tension to a seat belt to secure the child seat to a car seat. The child seat includes a base that defines a receiving region. The tensioning mechanism includes a bottom arm pivotably attached to the base within the receiving region and a top arm pivotably attached to the bottom arm. The tensioning mechanism is adjustable between a first configuration and a second configuration relative to the base. In both the first configuration and the second configuration, the tensioning mechanism defines a tortuous, nonlinear belt pathway. In the first configuration, the tensioning mechanism receives a portion of the seat belt, and in the second configuration, the tensioning mechanism applies tension to the portion of the seat belt.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 5, 2023Publication date: January 25, 2024Inventors: Mark Messner, Mitchell Shellenberger, Quentin G. Walsh, Brandon Hoover

Publication number: 20230311721Abstract: An infant car seat system includes a base including a first pair of brackets and a second pair of brackets; and an infant car seat including a first pair of locking pins positioned and arranged to be locked via the first pair of brackets and a second pair of locking pins positioned and arranged to be locked via the second pair of brackets, the infant car seat further including a release handle configured to allow the user to unlock the first pair of locking pins from the first pair of brackets, after which the user is able to at least partially lift the infant car seat from the base, the at least partial lifting causing the second pair of locking pins to become unlocked from the second pair of brackets.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 17, 2023Publication date: October 5, 2023Inventors: Mark Matthew Messner, Mitchell L. Shellenberger, Quentin G. Walsh, Brandon Hoover

Publication number: 20070086866Abstract: A lockset drilling guide that comprises a frame is provided. The frame comprises a first flange and a second flange. The second flange is capable of flexing relative to the first flange. The lockset drilling guide further comprises at least a first opening and a second opening defined in the frame. The first opening is positioned at approximately 90 degrees relative to the second opening. A positioning member is mounted on the frame, wherein the positioning member is laterally movable to at least two positions relative to the frame. The frame is configured for mounting on a door to facilitate the forming of holes in the door for the installation of a lockset.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 14, 2006Publication date: April 19, 2007Inventors: Matthew Shute, Brandon Hoover

Publication number: 20070044335Abstract: The level of the invention consists of a solid, thin central web that is connected to an upper box and a lower box. The central web supports level vials. The upper box and lower box have a hollow generally polygonal shape and define an upper surface and lower surface. A surface of either or both of the upper and lower boxes are calibrated with respect to the level vials to create leveling surfaces. The level vials are enclosed in housings that secure the level vials to the web. End caps are secured to the ends of the web and the upper and lower boxes.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 31, 2005Publication date: March 1, 2007Inventors: Brandon Hoover, Daniel Seymour, Eric Helda

Publication number: 20070000097Abstract: The tool handle of the invention includes a shank connected via a ratcheting mechanism to a male square drive. A pair of handle wings are pivotally connected to the shank at a transverse pivot hinge such that the handle wings can be changed between a screwdriver-type configuration, an L-shape configuration, a T-shape configuration or other intermediate configurations. When the handle wings are in the fully open position, the handle wings bear against the shank to create a mechanism for transferring power between the handle wings and the tool shank without the need for a separate lock. A quick change adapter having a female drive can be connected to the male square drive such that the tool handle can be used with a wide variety of tools including taps and extractors, sockets, screwdriver bits and the like.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 29, 2005Publication date: January 4, 2007Inventors: Robin Smith, Brandon Hoover

Publication number: 20060226042Abstract: The storage case of the invention consists of a base and a mating cover. The cover is constructed of a first cover portion that is pivotably attached to the base and a second cover portion that is slidably retained on the first cover portion. To release the cover from the base, the second cover portion is moved to an extended position where the second cover portion is disengaged from the base. A plurality of drill bit cassettes hold the individual bits and are removably retained in a corresponding number of cassette holders located within the base. The cassette holders are connected to one another and to the cover such that when the cover is opened, the cassette holders are extended out of the base where they can be easily accessed. When the cover is closed the cassette holders are retracted into the base.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 12, 2005Publication date: October 12, 2006Inventors: Daniel Seymour, Brandon Hoover, Robert McRorie
