Abstract: A cooking appliance includes an oven cavity adapted to be used in cooking foods and a control system includes a display device for presenting available programming options to a user through pictorial images, such as in prompting a user to input information relating to a food product to be cooked. The display device also presents graphical instructions relating to cooking the food product. A controller is provided for establishing a cooking operation within the oven cavity based on the selected programming options.

Abstract: A graphical user interface for browsing information displayed to a user. The information displayed includes zero or more elements and may be displayed in a display window. The display window has a perimeter and a scrollbar is positioned along the perimeter. The scrollbar may have a first end and a second end and a slider located between the ends. The slider may be configured such that movement of the slider causes information in the display area to be scrolled. In one embodiment, the size of the slider is based on the size of the one more elements of information displayed in the display window. A data-line may be positioned adjacent the scrollbar and may have a plurality of tick marks. A graphical element, which may be displayed in phantom, may be used to associate the slider to the data-line.

Abstract: A stand-alone printing apparatus for transferring one or more digital photographs captured by a digital device to a printable medium. The printing apparatus includes an input member for receiving the digital photographs from a source and image processing for generating an image corresponding to each of the digital photographs. A graphical user interface with video display is integrated within the printing apparatus and includes a plurality of different states in which to preview the digital photograph images, select photographs for printing, and preview a printed page of selected photographs.

A pull-down menu that provides a plurality of desired results relating to a selected controllable feature of the digital device is displayed and input indicating a selection of a desired result by the user is received from a user. A plurality of instructions that indicate which divider image should be selected by the user to achieve the selected desired result and how to achieve the selected desired result are displayed to the user.
