  • Publication number: 20230329613
Abstract: A patient support apparatus includes a frame and a mattress supported by the frame and arranged to support a patient thereon. A sensor is included to detect moisture on the patient and/or the patient support apparatus. The sensor produces signals indicative of the presence of moisture on the patient support apparatus. One or more alerts are output in response to the signals provided by the sensor to notify a caregiver of the presence of moisture on the patient support apparatus.

  • Patent number: 11574733
Abstract: A caregiver location system includes a computer configured to track a location of a caregiver in a healthcare facility. A caregiver identification (ID) tag is worn by a caregiver and has a tag transmitter configured to communicate with a plurality of receivers. The plurality of receivers and the computer cooperate to form a locating system that is operable to determine a location of the caregiver ID tag. The computer collects data over time related to a caregiver location within the healthcare facility and determines a problem area within the healthcare facility where a determined caregiver location is inaccurate.

  • Patent number: 11363419
Abstract: A system identifies a first position of a tag in a clinical environment based on first times at which first receivers received a first wireless signal from the tag. The system estimates a second position of the tag in the clinical environment based on second times at which second receivers received a second wireless signal from the tag. The system determines that a boundary is located between the first position and the second position, defines a path range around the first position of the tag based on an expected movement of the tag during a time interval between the first and second wireless signals, determines that the boundary lacks a door within the path range, adjusts the second position of the tag based on the boundary map, and transmits a message indicating that the tag is located at the adjusted position at the second time.

• Patent number: 9354265
Abstract: Exemplary systems and methods are directed to establishing a signature for a device emitting electromagnetic radiation (EMR). The system includes a radio frequency (RF) receiver, a signal processor, and a signature generator. The RF receiver samples detected EMR, generate pulses having characteristics that are a function of the EMR, and select generated pulses in a spectral band having energy above a predetermined threshold. The signal processor establishes a set of correlated pulses, computes a vector space associated with the set of correlated pulses, and compares each pulse in the set of correlated pulses to a basis of the vector space for establishing a device signature, and associates pulses having a threshold percentage of energy within the basis in a database with a device identifier.
