The present invention relates to pleated support tubes for filters that can be used, among other applications, for the filtration of polymer compounds used in various plastic applications. The present invention also relates to the use of sealing rings for use with the pleated tubes of the present invention. The present invention further relates to methods for using the pleated tubes or pleated tubes and sealing rings in the process of filtering compounds.
