  • Patent number: 9364876
Abstract: Apparatus and a method for decomposing a body of a deceased person, as an alternative to traditional cremation. The apparatus includes a primary vessel where the body is treated with a highly basic solvent to render the body into skeletal remains and liquid remains. A clamp is applied to the skull during processing for solvent access to the skull. A secondary vessel is used to receive the liquid remains from the primary vessel and further treat them. During this further treatment, the skeletal remains left in the primary vessel after the liquefied portion has been transferred to the secondary vessel, can be treated to be decolorized and deodorized, and then returned to the decedent's next of kin as ash-like material.

  • Patent number: 9220798
Abstract: Hazardous waste is treated by shredding and then passing the material through an enclosure by means of a conveyor through direct steam impingement. The enclosure is maintained at a pressure greater than or equal to atmospheric pressure in order to maintain steam temperature at or above 212° F. Pressure locks are positioned at an inlet and discharge of the enclosure. The pressure locks allow transport of waste material into and out of the enclosure while maintaining a pressure differential between the interior and exterior of the enclosure.

  • Publication number: 20100043679
Abstract: A tabletop formed from slats for use in rigid, light-weight tables, such as portable banquet tables. The tabletop includes a center section formed from a plurality of open-channel, rectangular tubular slats that are laterally coupled together. Each slat has a top wall that aligns with top walls to form the upper working surface of the tabletop. Each slat also has downwardly-projecting sidewalls and a bottom wall with a longitudinal slot running the length of the slat to form the rectangular, downwardly-orientated channel. The adjacent contacting sidewalls of adjacent slats coupled together to form substantially vertical support beams. The tabletop further includes a pair of elongate end caps disposed on opposite ends and spanning the plurality of slats of the center section, with each end cap having a plurality of finger pairs extending into the plurality of slats with a center slot the receives a support beam therein.
