  • Patent number: 4225313
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for dyeing or printing textile material, wherein the textile material is first impregnated with a solution or dispersion containing a dyestuff and the impregnated textile material is then treated with the superheated vapor of organic solvents.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 16, 1974
Date of Patent: September 30, 1980
    Assignee: Ciba-Geigy, AG
Inventors: Purushottam J. Kangle, Branimir Milicevic
  • Patent number: 4155708
Abstract: A process for continuous dyeing or printing, wherein a textile matrial is impregnated or printed with an emulsion of water and a halogenated aliphatic hydrocarbon containing at least one dyestuff, at least one of the phases of the emulsion containing a thickener of high molecular weight, and the dyestuff thus applied is fixed by steaming or heating.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 27, 1975
Date of Patent: May 22, 1979
    Assignee: Ciba-Geigy AG
Inventors: Hans-Peter Weber, Alfred Litzler, Hans W. Liechti, Branimir Milicevic
  • Patent number: 4081240
Abstract: A process for dyeing textile material of fully synthetic polymers ready for weaving by the exhaustion method, wherein dyeing is carried out at a temperature of at least 70.degree. C in a homogenous solution of one or several dyestuffs in a hydrophobic or hydrophilic solvent or solvent mixture, any sulphur atoms present in the solvent or solvent mixture being divalent or hexavalent.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 16, 1975
Date of Patent: March 28, 1978
    Assignee: Ciba-Geigy AG
Inventors: Keshav Vinayak Datye, Purushottam J. Kangle, Branimir Milicevic, Alfred Litzler, Eugen Johann Koller
  • Patent number: 3964862
Abstract: A process for dyeing and printing textile materials made of or containing fully synthetic hydrophobic linear polymers which are free from amino groups, wherein the material is padded with a dispersion dyestuff containing at least one carboxyl group, the padded textile material is dried and printed with an alkaline printing paste, the fabric is thermo-fixed and the salt of the dyestuff containing a carboxyl group is subsequently washed from the printed areas.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 21, 1973
Date of Patent: June 22, 1976
    Assignee: Ciba-Geigy AG
Inventors: Purushottam Janardan Kangle, Hermann Werdenberg, Klaus Artz, Visvanathan Ramanathan, Navnitrai Nagirji Naik, Branimir Milicevic
  • Patent number: 3958933
Abstract: The invention describes a process for the discontinuous aftertreatment of synthetic hydrophobic textile material, especially polyamide or polyester textile material, which is dyed preferably from an organic liquor with disperse dyestuffs containing hydroxyl and/or amino groups, with chemical fixing agents such as isocyanates, masked isocyanates, acid halides or acid anhydrides, from chlorinated aliphatic hydrocarbons, especially perchloroethylene, at temperatures above 80.degree.C, and subsequently rinsing and drying this material on which dyeings are obtained that are fast to water, solvents, light and are also very fast to sublimation.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 13, 1974
Date of Patent: June 1, 1976
    Assignee: Ciba-Geigy Corporation
