Abstract: An electrical tilt switch comprises a closed housing having an annular geometry and made of insulating material. In the closed housing thee is positioned a first annular electrode and at least a second annular electrode spaced from the first annular electrode. A pool of conducting liquid is disposed within the housing so as to immerse one electrode without immersing the other when the switch is in a horizontal position. Upon tilting the switch to a preselected angle, the pool of conducting liquid immerses two of the electrodes and therefore closes the switch.
