  • Patent number: 12367537
Abstract: An on-demand security inspection system is provided for dispatching an investigator to a target dwelling. The investigator (e.g., a police officer) carries a video camera (e.g., a body cam). The inspection system comprises a service management server, a requestor interface, and an investigator interface. The requestor interface is configured to link a user to the service management server in order to specify a checklist. The investigator interface is configured to link a mobile unit (e.g., a vehicle control module or a handheld mobile unit) to the service management server in order to (1) communicate a plurality of checklist prompts to the mobile unit, and (2) return video data from the video camera captured according to the checklist prompts.

  • Patent number: 12358496
Abstract: Parking settings and map data indicative of parking locations in proximity to a structure that are available for the vehicle are maintained to a memory of a vehicle, the parking settings indicating a first time at which the vehicle is to enter an automatic parking mode in which the vehicle moves among the parking locations in proximity to the structure, and a second time at which the vehicle is to exit the automatic parking mode. In the automatic parking mode, responsive to the parking settings indicating an automated parking movement, the parking locations are selected from to determine a parking location into which to move the vehicle and the automated parking movement is performed using a virtual drive system of the vehicle to move the vehicle from a current parked location in proximity to the structure to the determined parking location in proximity to the structure.

  • Publication number: 20250188899
Abstract: A depletion amount of energy required to charge a user device connected to a device port of a vehicle is estimated based on a state of charge (SoC) of a device battery of the connected user device. Responsive to an expected SoC of a LV battery of the vehicle after providing the depletion amount of energy exceeding a calibrated threshold amount of energy of the LV battery, the connected user device is charged during key off. Otherwise, an engine start/stop schedule defining a time to start an engine of the vehicle and a duration of run time for the engine is utilized to generate additional energy to charge the connected user device to ensure the LV battery remains above the calibrated threshold amount of energy.

  • Publication number: 20250174061
Abstract: A security token for accessing an automotive vehicle, such as an NFC access card or NFC-capable mobile phone, is monitored to help prevent it being left in the vehicle when the user exits the vehicle. An NFC reader in the passenger compartment communicates with the token to authorize access to predetermined functions of the vehicle. An image sensor captures images within the passenger compartment using an image sensor after the security token is presented to the NFC reader. A location of the token is tracked in the captured images. One or more predetermined carrier locations are identified which are associated with the user and which can remain with the user when the user exits the vehicle (e.g., a pocket or purse). A message to the user is generated as a reminder when the security token has not been detected to have been returned to an identified predetermined carrier location.

  • Publication number: 20250166511
Abstract: A caravan is performed of a plurality of vehicles by an ego vehicle. An ego vehicle receives, in caravan messages via a wireless transceiver of the ego vehicle, capability information indicative of capabilities of the vehicles to traverse an obstacle along a route. Performance rankings that indicate relative capabilities of the vehicles per type of obstacle are determined based on the capability information. One or more ordering strategies are utilized to define a vehicle ordering for traversal of the obstacle along the route, the vehicle ordering being based on the performance rankings of the vehicles and the obstacle. The obstacle is traversed, by the caravan, according to the vehicle ordering.

  • Publication number: 20250121737
Abstract: While a state of charge of a supplemental battery, that provides power to an electrical bus via a first DC/DC converter, is greater than a predefined threshold and responsive to a magnitude of current associated with loads on the electrical bus exceeding a predefined value, a controller reduces a setpoint of the first DC/DC converter to equal that of a second DC/DC converter, that transfers power between the electrical bus and a traction battery, such that the loads are powered by the supplemental and traction batteries.

  • Patent number: 12275351
Abstract: A pedestrian alerting system adapts alerting sounds emitted by a vehicle according to an acoustic environment around the vehicle. Echoes of the alerting sound in an enclosed space such as a garage can be irritating to the pedestrians and/or occupants of the vehicle. A sensor suite including radar, cameras, and/or a GPS locator detect confined spaces in which reflections result in a greater apparent loudness. Emitted loudness of the alerting sounds are reduced, wherein the reduction of the volume may be based on the size of the space.

  • Patent number: 12233913
Abstract: A vehicle monitors an ongoing enforcement situation using one or more sensors provided to the vehicle and determines, based on the monitoring and sensor data of the one or more sensors, that a foot pursuit has begun. The vehicle receives a location signal from a location-providing device carried by at least one entity involved in the situation and determines a street route for the vehicle that follows movement of the entity by using streets travelable by the vehicle, based on a plurality of locations received from the location-providing device. Also, the vehicle automatically and autonomously controls the vehicle to follow the determined street route.

  • Patent number: 12215984
Abstract: A system examines a current route to determine if one or more instances of off-road travel exist providing an alternative path for reaching a route destination. The system determines that characteristics of a vehicle meet parameters associated with at least one of the instances of off-road travel. Also, the system, responsive to the determining that the characteristics meet the parameters, provides a driver with indication of an alternative route across the instance of off-road travel, including any payment necessary to use the instance of off-road travel. The system, responsive to driver selection of the instance of off-road travel, negotiates payment for usage of the instance of off-road travel and, responsive to negotiating payment, changes the current route to include the instance of off-road travel. The system also provides digital permissions for the vehicle to travel on the instance of off-road travel.
