    Abstract: A tripod support having open and closed positions comprises a housing and three legs which extend downwardly and outwardly from the housing into contact with the ground when the support is in the open position. Two of the legs are rotatable about generally upright axes, referred to the in use open position of the support, to bring the support into the closed position wherein the legs are in a substantially parallel side-by-side relationship.
