  • Patent number: 10873819
Abstract: Aspects of a multi-orientation playback device including at least one microphone array are discussed. A method may include determining an orientation of the playback device which includes at least one microphone array and determining at least one microphone training response for the playback device from a plurality of microphone training responses based on the orientation of the playback device. The at least one microphone array can detect a sound input, and the location information of a source of the sound input can be determined based on the at least one microphone training response and the detected sound input. Based on the location information of the source, the directional focus of the at least one microphone array can be adjusted, and the sound input can be captured based on the adjusted directional focus.

  • Patent number: 10821347
Abstract: Virtual and augmented reality sports training environments are disclosed. A user interacts with virtual players in a simulated environment of a virtual reality sporting event. In some embodiments, the user's actions and decisions are monitored by the simulated environment. The environment evaluates the user's performance, and provides quantitative scoring based on the user's decisions and timing. Coaches and other users may design customized scenarios or plays to train and test users, and the resultant scores may be reviewed by the coach. In one application, real life pitchers and their pitching data are tracked and replicated in a simulated pitching environment. A team of users may practice against a simulation of a pitcher they are about to compete against, swinging at pitches that they would see in a real game. Such environments may maximize effective practice time for users, and help develop better players with improved decision-making skills.

  • Patent number: 10817813
Abstract: A method of operating a resource configuration and project management system involves identifying, for a project, sandboxed task data and task parameters including project skill sets and project tools. The method configures a first selector with project skill sets to select at least one developer from a developer pool. The method configures a second selector with project tools to select at least one container including at least one set of programming functions from a container library. The method assigns at least one developer to a working task queue generated from the task parameters. The method configures the at least one container to operate as a sandboxed environment. The method authorizes the at least one developer to access the at least one container and the sandboxed task data within the sandboxed environment. The method monitors developer resources and computing resources during execution of the project by the selected at least one.

  • Publication number: 20160314620
Abstract: Virtual and augmented reality sports training environments are disclosed. A user interacts with virtual teammates in a simulated environment of a virtual reality sporting event. As the sporting event unfolds, the user's actions and decisions are monitored by the simulated environment. The sports training environment evaluates the user's performance, and provides quantitative scoring based on the user's decisions and timing. Coaches and other users may design customized scenarios or plays to train and test users, and the resultant scores may be reviewed by the coach. Athletes in a virtual environment may experience an increased number of meaningful play repetitions without the risk of injury. Such environments may maximize effective practice time for users, and help develop better players with improved decision-making skills.
