  • Publication number: 20230181263
Abstract: A robotic system is integrated with the laparoscope effectively creating a 3D scanner which can be used during laparoscopic surgery. This enables advanced surgical navigation and visualization to aid with the surgical process. It also acts as a core data set to be used by the Digital Health Platform. This acts as the starting point for Virtual Reality reconstruction of the surgical procedure for both real time surgical guidance and advanced AI/ML development. Furthermore, diagnostic capabilities could also be integrated into the system to enable real time diagnostic data to be generated for use during the procedure. Coupling the diagnostic capabilities with the vision system of the laparoscope and the ground truth reference coordinate system of the robot enables quick Augmented Reality visualization through the Digital Health Platform.

  • Publication number: 20200085512
Abstract: A region within a body of an imaging subject can be imaged to identify a tumor locus in a three dimensional coordinate system. An opening in the body of the imaging subject can be formed to provide an access location. Using an actuator, a surgical tool can be guided to traverse the access location to access the tumor locus, the surgical tool guided along a specified trajectory in the three dimensional coordinate system by the actuator and configured to resect and remove a first portion of the tumor within the tumor locus.

  • Patent number: 7591355
Abstract: A disconnect (128) is provided for use between an engine (126) and differential (130). The differential disconnect (128) provides for a lock out of the disconnect (128) so as to prevent self energizing. The differential may also include a bottom-out feature to limit the amount of torque that may be transferred through the disconnect. In addition, the disconnect (128) may include a design to contain axial forces on the input shaft (14).
