Abstract: Disclosed is a self-drilling resin anchored rock bolt with an elongate body of a suitable metal material extending between distal and proximal ends; and a drill bit engaged to the distal end; which body includes a threaded portion at the proximal end, a resin bore which extends through the elongate body, opening at each of the ends, a first integral anchor on the body, including integrally formed paddle formations; wherein the drill bit engaged with the body has a resin conduit which communicates an exterior of the drill bit with the resin bore; wherein the threaded portion has a first section, with a first thread density, extending from the proximal end, and a second section, with a second thread density, starting at the end of the first section and extending towards the distal end; and wherein the first thread density is lower than the second thread density.

Abstract: Disclosed is a rock bolt assembly including: an elongate bolt extending with distal and proximal ends; a tubular sleeve longitudinally extending between leading and trailing ends on the bolt so at least a proximal end portion projects from the trailing end of the sleeve; and a nozzle docking bush on the proximal end portion between the sleeve's trailing end and the bolt's proximal end. The bush has a cylindrical body between first and second ends, a central hole extending through the body, spaced-apart annular ridges on the cylindrical body, a grout distributing channel between the ridges, and an aperture in the channel connecting the channel and hole. The central hole includes a leading portion ending at the first end, sealingly receiving the trailing end. A trailing portion of the central hole ends at the second end and sealingly engages the bolt. Each annular ridge seals against a grout nozzle.

Abstract: Disclosed is a resin bolt which includes an elongate shaft which extends between a leading end and a trailing end and a positioning head which is integral to the shaft at the leading end and which extends in the elongate axis of the shaft from a perimeter rim to a crown, with the head formed with a plurality of projections, with each projection extending laterally, beyond the radial dimension of the shaft and each projection having a leading surface which slopes, at least partially, from the crown to the perimeter rim, and a trailing surface from the perimeter rim to the shaft.

Abstract: A bung has a body which extends between a leading end and a trailing end and which includes an inner part of a rigid material which has a cylindrical aperture for receiving a rock bolt and an outer sealing part of a resiliently deformable material circumscribing the inner part. The inner part and the outer part engage at an interface which has a co-efficient of friction which allows the outer part to disengage from the inner part at the interface when a shear force above a predetermined level is applied to the outer part or the inner part.

Abstract: Disclosed is a grout anchored rock bolt which includes an elongate cylindrical body of a suitable material which has at least one integral anchor portion which includes of a plurality projection, each of which extends laterally from the body in at least one radial direction, wherein the projections are consecutively serially arranged along the length of the anchor portion and wherein each projection is radially offset relatively to the preceding formation at an angle that is not orthogonal.

Abstract: The invention provides a breather tube indicator device which includes a sealing body which is adapted to fit within a breather tube of a grouted rock support installation to allow passage of air past the body, without the body moving relatively to the tube, but to resist passage of an adhesive material thereby to cause movement of the body relatively to the tube to an indicating position.
