Patent number: 11650061Abstract: A device can determine scenario information associated with a plurality of route planning scenarios. The scenario information can include information that describes, for each route planning scenario of the plurality of route planning scenarios, a condition or a configuration based on which a respective route plan is to be generated. The device can calculate, based on a plurality of route plans corresponding to the plurality of route planning scenarios, a set of metrics associated with the plurality of route planning scenarios. The set of metrics can be calculated based on a single user interaction with a user interface. The device can provide information associated with the set of metrics. Publication number: 20220321566Abstract: The present disclosure provides mechanisms to optimize filter processing. Conventional filter processing techniques involve dividing a batch of received data packets into multiple Access Control Lists (ACLs) per filter group, and thus, cannot leverage of optimal ACL processing of large packet batches using the latest processor instruction sets such as 512 bit wide instructions. The filter processing techniques discussed in the present disclosure, some or all rules for a batch of packets are included in a single ACL look-up by including a filter group identifier (ID) in each rule, and also adding the filter group ID to a field of the packet undergoing the ACL look-up. This avoids false matches while also employing a single ACL look-up for an entire batch of packets, regardless of batch-size. The filter processing techniques can be applied to DOCSIS packet processing pipelines and/or other filtering mechanisms.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 15, 2022Publication date: October 6, 2022Inventors: David Coyle, Brendan Ryan, Konstantin Ananyev

Publication number: 20210119878Abstract: Telemetry information provided by a computing device includes switching key performance indicators (KPIs), platform KPIs, and topology information. The telemetry information is used to identify performance issues at the computing device, such as packets being dropped in a virtual switching stack or misconfiguration errors. A virtual switching monitor can identify which layers in the switching stack have errors and whether the errors occur along a transmit or receive path in the switching stack. A virtual switching controller can identify remedial actions that can be taken at the computing device to remedy a performance issue. A remedial action can be taken automatically, subject to user approval, or automatically after additional criteria are met.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 9, 2020Publication date: April 22, 2021Applicant: Intel CorporationInventors: Ciara Loftus, John J. Patent number: 10785683Abstract: A service provider (SP) network device or system can enable a WiFi protected access 2 (WPA2) pass-through with a user equipment (UE) and define various partitions between a physical access point (pAP) and a virtual AP (vAP) based on virtual network function(s) (VNFs). The WPA2 pass-through can be an interface connection that passes through a computer premise equipment (CPE) or wireless residential gateway (GW) without modifying the data traffic and also enable different packet sizes, even if the vAP or data VNF at the SP network device is not configured to process the size, by fragmenting and defragmenting at least one of: a packet frame from the UE to the vAP, or from the vAP to the UE based on fragmentation criteria.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 2018Date of Patent: September 22, 2020Assignee: MaxLinear, Inc.Inventors: Artur Zaks, Sergejs Hatinecs, Eriks Ezerins, Michael O'Hanlon, Brendan Ryan, Jurijs Soloveckis, David Coyle
