  • Publication number: 20150173993
Abstract: In at least one aspect, there is provided a system for generating force about one or more joints including a soft exosuit having a plurality of anchor elements and at least one connection element disposed between the plurality of anchor elements. The system also includes at least one sensor to determine a force the at least one connection element or at least one of the plurality of anchor elements and to output signals relating to the force, at least one actuator configured to change a tension in the soft exosuit and at least one controller configured to receive the signals output from the at least one sensor and actuate the at least one actuator responsive to the received signals.

  • Publication number: 20140294322
Abstract: A bag assembly including a bag body, and two bag handles. The body includes a first side, and a second side substantially parallel to the first. The body has formed therein: a first horizontal pre-fold a first distance from the top of the body, and a horizontal second pre-fold at a second distance from the top of the body greater than twice the first distance. Each bag handle is attached to an opposing side of the body across handle attachment areas. The topmost extent of each handle attachment areas not extending into an area defined by a first bottom border measured from the top of the bag body down the second distance.

  • Publication number: 20100317465
Abstract: Disclosed is a pitcher's aid for strike zone accuracy that serves the purpose of guiding a pitcher's body to the left or right side, inside/outside, of home plate in order to provide familiarity with how their body can be used to locate a pitch to the desired target. The new and unique invention utilizes a lightweight, rugged material and a small size to stay portable and provide the pitcher with an invention that can be used anywhere and anytime he wishes to practice. Practicing with this invention gives a pitcher confidence when pitching to either side of home, which in turn provides them with more confidence in their pitches, and provides them with the knowledge that they can get the outs needed when called upon by their coach.

  • Patent number: 7495384
Abstract: The present invention provides a dynamic high resolution color display. In particular a display comprising a plurality of pixels composed of a fluorescent dye doped polymer material is provided. Specifically said pixels are applied to a suitable base substrate and further modulated, such that a moving image can be produced by the display. The present invention further provides a variety of pixel elements which may be used to produce static display signs, or further combined with a phosphorescent material to act as a backlight for an LCD or other similar display. In all cases the displays of the present invention have no, or a greatly reduced direct energy consumption.

  • Patent number: 5747647
Abstract: A process for fractionation of dairy whey is described which enables various whey constituents, in particular, alpha-lactalbumin and beta-lactoglobulin, to be recovered in substantially pure form. Lactose may also be recovered. The mineral content of raw whey is reduced so that the calcium content is less than 120 parts per million. Thereafter, the whey is treated to allow the lactose to crystallize out for removal and selectively to flocculate the alpha-lactalbumin, leaving a liquor containing substantially pure beta-lactoglobulin.
