  • Patent number: 10743990
Abstract: The disclosure relates to transcatheter stented prosthesis delivery devices including transition elements that route, constrain, support and reduce damage to tension member wear as tension in the tension members is varied to adjust the compression of a stented prosthesis loaded onto the delivery device. Various disclosed tension elements include inserts, edge treatments and guides proximate a distal portion of the delivery device upon which the stented prosthesis is loaded. In some embodiments, the transition feature is positioned proximate a location where at least one tension member transitions from a first orientation that is not parallel to the distal portion to a second orientation that is generally parallel to the distal portion. Further embodiments disclose configurations and methods of selectively locking and unlocking a longitudinal and/or rotational position of the stent frame with respect to the distal portion of the delivery device.

  • Publication number: 20190307563
Abstract: A delivery device for percutaneously delivering a stented prosthetic heart includes a sheath, a handle, and adjustment device including a fine adjustment mechanism, and an outer stability shaft. The sheath defines a lumen and is configured to compressively constrain the stented prosthetic heart valve. The handle is coupled to the proximal portion of the sheath and includes an actuator mechanism coupled to a proximal portion of the sheath that is configured to selectively move the sheath relative to the housing to release the stented prosthetic heat valve. The adjustment device is coupled to the handle and includes an adjustment lumen through which the sheath and the handle slidably extend. The outer stability shaft is coupled to the adjustment device. The fine adjustment mechanism is configured to selectively move the handle and the sheath relative to the adjustment device and the outer stability shaft.

  • Publication number: 20190021858
Abstract: The disclosure relates to transcatheter stented prosthesis delivery devices including a handle assembly connected to a shaft assembly on which a stented prosthesis is loaded and compressively retained with a plurality of elongate tension members. The delivery devices include a cutting assembly that can sever the elongate tension members after the stented prosthesis is expanded at a target site so that the delivery device can be withdrawn from the patient. Certain embodiments position the cutting assembly at least within the shaft assembly and others position the cutting assembly over the shaft assembly. Various disclosed cutting assemblies are actuated with the handle assembly or the like, which draw the tension members across the blade or vice versa.

  • Publication number: 20180256331
Abstract: Delivery devices for delivering a stented prosthesis to a target site are disclosed. Disclosed delivery devices include a handle assembly including an actuator, an inner shaft assembly interconnected to the handle assembly, and are configured to releasably retain the stented prosthesis to the delivery device with at least one elongate tension member. The delivery devices further include a tension management device that is configured to limit the amount of tension that can be applied via the actuator to the at least one tension member. Certain embodiments are configured to apply different tension limits to different tension members that are controlled by a one or more actuators. Other various embodiments include one or more tension adjustors to selectively adjust one or more tension limits.

  • Publication number: 20180192637
Abstract: A decoy is provided having a reversible body having a top end and a bottom end with an opening in the bottom end, an outer side displaying a first animal and an inner side displaying a second animal. The decoy is transformed from displaying the first side and the first animal to displaying the second side the second animal by inverting the reversible body. A head can be provided at the top end of the body that is a double-faced head with a first end corresponding to the first animal and a second end opposite to the first and corresponding to the second animal. Relief channels can be provided in the body to improve the ability of the body to be inverted.

  • Publication number: 20180125642
Abstract: Embodiments hereof relate methods of delivering a valve prosthesis to an annulus of a native valve of a heart. A valve delivery system is introduced into a ventricle of the heart via a ventricular wall of the heart. The valve delivery system has a displacement component at the distal portion thereof. The valve prosthesis is in a delivery configuration and the displacement component is in a delivery state in which the displacement component has a first outer diameter. While the valve prosthesis is in the delivery configuration, the displacement component of the valve delivery system is radially expanded into an expanded state in which the displacement component has a second outer diameter greater than the first outer diameter. The valve delivery system is advanced towards the annulus of the native valve of the heart with the displacement component in the expanded state to displace chordae tendineae.
