  • Publication number: 20240085203
Abstract: A method includes: determining, based, at least in part, on a predicted driver characteristic, a first energy-versus-distance measure for a planned driving route of a vehicle, the first energy-versus-distance measure determined using an energy model; presenting the first energy-versus-distance measure on a user interface associated with the vehicle; identifying an already-driven part of the planned driving route; determining, based on information associated with the already-driven part of the planned driving route, a model error associated with the energy model; determining a second energy-versus-distance measure by modifying the first energy-versus-distance measure to account for the model error; and presenting the second energy-versus-distance measure on the user interface associated with the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20230368466
Abstract: A system or a method for rendering building extrusion on an electronic map. The system receives geographic location information from a client device. Responsive to receiving the geographic location information, the system obtains a portion of two-dimensional electronic map data and a portion of three-dimensional electronic map data representing a building at a location indicated by the received geographic location information. The system also analyzes user data to obtain contextual information associated with the building, and renders the area of the electronic map with the contextual information associated with the building. The building on the electronic map is rendered in three dimensions as an extruded element, and rest of the area on the electronic map is rendered in two dimensions.

  • Patent number: 11790603
Abstract: Techniques are described for building extrusion in an electronic map. A client map application receives geographic location information, such as from a user input. The client map application retrieves electronic map data representing a specific building at a location indicated by the received geographic location information. The client map application generates an extruded building graphical element illustrating the specific building in three dimensions based on the retrieved electronic map data representing the specific building. The client map application renders an electronic map representing electronic map data according to a first style. The electronic map also includes the extruded building graphical element such that the specific building is rendered in three dimensions according to a second style.

  • Publication number: 20230032468
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments include systems, vehicles, and methods to present an option to visit an attraction and to present information about the attraction. In an illustrative embodiment, a computing system operates according to instructions that cause the computing system to: monitor a position of the computing system; present via a visual interface a map including at least one first route; identify via the visual interface at least one attraction situated within a range of the at least one first route; in response to a request to add a visit to the at least one attraction, determine at least one second route from the position to the at least one attraction; present the at least one second route on the map; generate navigational information according to the at least one second route; and when within a predetermined vicinity of the at least one attraction, present information about the at least one attraction.

  • Publication number: 20230029321
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments include systems, vehicles, and methods for tracking off-road travel. In an illustrative embodiment, a system includes a computing device having computer-readable media storing computer-executable instructions configured to cause the computing device to monitor a vehicle location. The vehicle location is identified on map data for an area encompassing the location and including road data for recognized roads in the area. Off-road travel is detected in response to determining that the vehicle location is outside of the recognized roads. Travel data is recorded representing the off-road travel of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10901515
Abstract: A vehicular interface system for providing application-based access to a plurality of vehicular subsystems is disclosed. The vehicular interface system includes a display for displaying a graphical user interface (GUI). A taskbar is displayed in a first portion of the GUI, the taskbar including a plurality of icons, each of icons representing a corresponding application. A plurality of windows is displayed in a second portion of the GUI. When determining that a user-selected icon is being dragged from an initial location on the taskbar, a semi-transparent overlay, corresponding to the application to be launched, is displayed on a window of the GUI as the selected icon is being dragged within the window. When determining that the selected icon is released within a selected window, the corresponding application is launched in the selected window. In general, the application provides control options or monitoring information relating to a subsystem of a vehicle.
