  • Patent number: 11833055
Abstract: A stemless implant for shoulder arthroplasty includes a body having a proximal portion, distal portion, and an outer surface. A cylindrical extrusion is substantially perpendicular to and adjacent the proximal portion. At least a portion of the outer surface is configured to contact bone, the outer bone contacting surface comprising a concave taper. The stemless implant can be sized and shaped for insertion into a metaphysis of a humerus bone without penetrating a diaphysis of the humerus bone. The implant optionally comprises a medial fin, a lateral fin, an anterior fin, and a posterior fin. The medial fin and lateral fin may be thicker than the anterior fin. The fins may taper from the proximal portion to the distal portion.

  • Publication number: 20230115852
Abstract: Arthroscopic devices adapted for minimally invasive procedures, such as bone augmentations and reconstructive surgery, are provided. The arthroscopic devices include a drill guide adapted for efficiently and accurately positioning pilot holes and surgical instrumentation relative to the bone; a surgical cable, such as an elastomeric surgical cable, adapted for applying a compressive force across the bone fragments after the surgical repair to promote healing; and a tensioner and crimping device for applying tension to the surgical cable and securing the surgical cable in place. A surgical procedure is also disclosed where a cerclage is applied arthroscopically by passing a member such as an elastomeric ribbon through the glenoid and a bone graft, where the member is tensioned and fixed into place to hold the bone graft in firm contact with the glenoid to facilitate healing.

  • Patent number: 10869706
Abstract: A fixation device is disclosed for the fixation of proximal humerus fractures includes an implantable humerus plate having a proximal portion adapted to be positioned at a head and medial calcar of the humerus, a distal portion adapted to be positioned along a shaft of the humerus, and a plurality of calcar openings provided through the proximal portion adapted to receive calcar fasteners that extend into the medial calcar. The calcar fasteners are grouped into a rafted configuration and the tips of each fastener are positioned into the calcar region so that torsional forces bearing upon the calcar regions are distributed into the rafted fastener support, thereby avoiding varus collapse of the humerus head after fixation of the fracture.
