  • Publication number: 20250179856
Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for performing an imminent motion notification in relation to movement of a barrier. A barrier operator system includes a barrier operator and a server. The barrier operator includes a motor configured to manipulate a barrier, an alert module, and one or more processors configured to control the motor and the alert module. The server receives a message from a remote user device indicating a request to move the barrier and sends an imminent motion notification command to the barrier operator. The barrier operator performs, in response to receipt of the imminent motion notification command, an imminent motion notification and sends an acknowledgement signal to the server indicating that the imminent motion notification has been performed. The server sends, in response to receipt of the acknowledgement signal, a barrier movement command and the barrier operator operates the motor to execute the barrier movement command.

  • Publication number: 20230279719
Abstract: A garage door status monitoring and control system for a jackshaft operator may include a control module comprising a programmable platform configured to: receive a change-door-status command to change a position of a door; in response to the change-door-status command, generate and communicate a light or sound command to a wireless controller; delay a period of time after communicating the light or sound command to the wireless controller; and only after the delay, generate a door command corresponding to said change-door-status command to change the position of the door.

  • Publication number: 20230175303
Abstract: A barrier operator includes a motor, a controller operably connected to the motor, a sensor, and a control module. The motor is couplable to a drive mechanism of a barrier and is configured to move the barrier between open and closed positions. The sensor is configured to monitor an operating parameter of the barrier operator associated with movement of the barrier. The control module includes user input controls. The controller is configured to receive a first user input from the control module; initiate, in response to receipt of the first user input, operation of the motor for a first movement of the barrier to establish a first travel limit of the barrier; receive a first signal indicative of the operating parameter from the sensor; and generate, during the first movement of the barrier, a first force limit based on the first signal from the sensor.
