Abstract: A mattress includes at least in part a center convoluted foamed latex layer having opposite ends and opposite sides, a substantially flat lower surface and an opposite convoluted upper surface with the convoluted surface including a plurality of upwardly directed peaks and upwardly opening valleys. An upper layer of polymeric/copolymeric material spans the convoluted upper surface with a lower surface of the upper layer being substantially contiguous to the peaks and substantially closing the valleys. A frame of polymeric/copolymeric material substantially peripherally surrounds the convoluted layer and has an upper surface in underlying bonded relationship to the upper layer upper surface.
