  • Publication number: 20240335851
Abstract: An agricultural system includes a nozzle assembly positioned along a boom assembly that is configured to selectively dispense an agricultural product therefrom. An airflow detection system is configured to capture data indicative of one or more airflow sources. A computing system is communicatively coupled to the nozzle assembly and the airflow detection system. The computing system is configured to receive the data associated with the one or more airflow sources from the airflow detection system, generate a nozzle assembly vector for the nozzle assembly based at least in part on the data from the airflow detection system, and determine a droplet size for exhausting an agricultural product from the nozzle assembly based at least in part on the magnitude of the nozzle assembly vector relative to a defined range and the direction relative to a default axis.

  • Publication number: 20240334922
Abstract: An agricultural system can include a product application system including one or more nozzle assemblies. A sensing system can be configured to capture data indicative of a condition of a spray operation. An input device can be configured to receive a first command to alter an application parameter for an agricultural product to be exhausted from a nozzle assembly. A computing system can be communicatively coupled to the product application system, the sensing system, and the input device. The computing system can be configured to receive the first command to alter the parameter, alter a first component based on the first command, determine whether the condition of the spray operation deviates from a defined condition range in response to altering the first component, and generate a second command to alter a second component based on the first command.

  • Patent number: 12058995
Abstract: A system for controlling a ground speed of an agricultural sprayer includes one or more sensors configured to capture data indicative of first and second application variables and a computing system communicatively coupled to the one or more sensors. In this respect, the computing system configured to determine the first and second application variables based on the data captured by the one or more sensors. Additionally, the computing system is configured to determine a spray quality index associated with the dispensing of an agricultural fluid onto a field by the agricultural sprayer based on the determined first and second application variables. Moreover, the computing system is configured to control the ground speed at which the agricultural sprayer travels across the field based on the determined spray quality index.

  • Patent number: 11787385
Abstract: An agricultural method for preventing roll-back of an agricultural vehicle may include receiving a roll-back prevention input from a speed setting device indicative of a command to increase the transmission speed of the hydrostatic transmission while a service brake of the agricultural vehicle is engaged. Further, the method may include adjusting a speed mapping for the speed setting device from a predetermined speed mapping to a roll-back speed mapping in response to the roll-back prevention input, with the roll-back speed mapping being associated with a reduced speed range. Additionally, the method may include determining a transmission control command associated with a current position of the speed setting device based on the roll-back speed mapping and controlling an operation of the hydrostatic transmission to adjust the transmission speed based at least in part on the transmission control command.

  • Publication number: 20220167543
Abstract: A method for implementing end-of-row (EOR) turns within a field may include receiving a selection of a selected EOR turn path type of a plurality of EOR turn path types associated with executing EOR turns within the field. The method may further include controlling an operation of the agricultural vehicle to traverse a first path extending across the field during the performance of an agricultural operation. Moreover, the method may include generating an EOR turn path based on the selected EOR turn path type for making an EOR turn between an end point of the first path and a start point of a second path extending across the work area, the EOR turn path being associated with a speed profile. Additionally, the method may include automatically controlling a speed system of the agricultural vehicle to execute the speed profile as the agricultural vehicle moves along the EOR turn path.
