    Abstract: A process for producing a landfill from a specified landfill site is disclosed.In the first step of this process, leachate from the landfill site is collected. Thereafter a specified shredded material is contacted with the leachate to age it, the horizontal permeability of the aged shredded material is then tested with a specified permeability tester; if the test is successful, the shredded material is used in the landfill and covered with waste material.
