  • Patent number: 9995069
Abstract: An operator cab for a machine such as a motor grader includes an access door coupled to a frame by way of a hinge mechanism. The hinge mechanism has abutting cam and follower surfaces with geometry to control the swinging of the access door such as under the force of gravity. The cam surface has a double-sloped profile of rotation about the pivot axis of the hinge mechanism so that the access door swing is controlled in either of a first or a second swing direction toward a dwell location of the access door.

  • Patent number: 7360471
Abstract: A transfer case assembly (10) for selectively moving a seat assembly in a plurality of adjustment directions. The assembly comprises a motor (12) and a drive shaft (14) operatively connected to the motor (12) for rotation in response to actuation of the motor. A plurality of driving gears (16, 18, 20) are mounted to the drive shaft for rotation therewith. A plurality of driven (24, 28, 32) shafts corresponding with the respective plurality of driving gears are provided for independently controlling movement of the seat assembly in the fore/aft, up and down direction. A driven gear is rotatably mounted to each of the driven shafts and meshed with a respective one of the driving gears for rotation therewith. A coupler (22, 26, 30) is disposed adjacent to each of the driven gears for selectively coupling the driven gears to the respective driven shafts (24, 28, 32).

  • Patent number: 7108305
Abstract: A seat assembly selectively engages forward and rearward strikers along a floor of a motor vehicle. The seat assembly includes a seat cushion and a seat back pivotally coupled to the seat cushion. The seat assembly also includes a seat riser mounted to the seat cushion and including spaced apart rear legs. The seat riser includes rear latches operatively coupled to each of the rear legs for movement between a latched position engaged with the rear latches and an unlatched position disengaged from the rear latches. A spring assist member includes a lever portion extending between a first end fixedly secured to said rear leg and an opposite second distal end for engaging the rearward striker to assist in pivoting said seat assembly about the forward strikers as said rear latches release the rearward strikers in the unlatched position.

  • Patent number: 6430288
Abstract: Improved splitter assemblies are described that can accept multiple incoming POTS lines and split each. In the preferred embodiments described herein, each of the incoming POTS lines is split into a voice line and a data line. The exemplary splitter assemblies described herein provide a card retainer that holds a plurality of POTS splitter cards. The splitter assemblies provide a hinged faceplate that retains a plurality of tool-less IDCs to form a panel to which electrical connections can be easily made in order to attach the incoming POTS lines and outgoing voice and data lines. In one preferred embodiment, a protective housing encloses the card retainer to provide a substantially weather-resistant enclosure for the card retainer. This housing is shaped and sized to be easily mounted in or adjacent to an existing building entrance terminal. The card retainer within has a number of retainer slots for splitter cards. Vents are disposed between the slots so that the cards can receive ventilation.
