Abstract: Three wheeled skateboards having direct connection between the front and back skate wheels where there is improved maneuverability and turning capability is provided. A steering plate is added to the axle of a conventional front skateboard truck and is made specifically for this application. Both ends of the single cable are fixably attached to the steering plate and are connected to the single rear wheel truck to supply the direct mechanical linkage. The single wheel truck at the rear has the wheel mounted in such a way as to allow it to be turned by the mechanical linkage that carries turn motion from the two wheel truck at the front of the skateboard. The single wheel mounted to the rear of the centerline of the truck rather than in front of or on the centerline of the truck increases the quickness of the action of the skateboard.
