  • Patent number: 9848849
Abstract: An ultrasound system includes a display device and a processor module. The display device is configured to display an ultrasound image. At least a portion of the display device includes a touch sensitive portion that is responsive to a touch in each of a plurality of user selectable elements presented on the display device. The processor module is configured to adjust at least one of the ultrasound image and an imaging setting based on the touch in at least one of the user selectable elements of the display device. The ultrasound image and the user selectable elements are concurrently displayed on the display device.

  • Patent number: 8526669
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining scan parameters to be used during image acquisition are provided. Values of imaging effects can be input using user controls accessible from a user interface. A processor can determine scan parameters to be used during image acquisition based on the input imaging effect values. The determined scan parameters can be displayed using the user interface. Values of imaging effects and potential ranges of values of imaging effects can be constrained based on selected values of other imaging effects. Imaging effects can include image resolution, image penetration, frame rate and/or color flow sensitivity. Scan parameters can include: line density, number of focal zones, frequency, dynamic range, pulse repetition frequency, and/or number of compounding angles. An ultrasound imaging system can be used to acquire images using the determined scan parameters.

  • Publication number: 20120157843
Abstract: A selector system to select one of a series of transducer probes to perform an ultrasound imaging procedure is provided. The selector system includes a user interface, and a controller in communication to receive input and generate graphic illustrations at the user interface. The controller includes a processor to execute a series of programming instructions stored in a computer readable medium. The programming instructions instruct the processor to perform acts that include instructing the processor to request a series of input data at the user interface, receiving at the processor the series of input data from the interface, instructing the processor to automatically calculate a selection of one of the series of transducer probes in response to receiving the series of input data received at the user interface, and generating a graphic illustration of the selection of the one of the series of transducers to show at the user interface.
