Abstract: A glazed solar collector with a frame surrounding an absorber. The frame is provided with an inwardly and/or outwardly directed attachment ledge (1a) to which the glazing(4) is attached. A protective Stripping (9) covers the edges of the cover pane(4) and is provided with a ledge (9b) that rests on the attachment ledge (1a). The side- and end panels(1) of the frame include an inwardly projecting bottom ledge (1b) to which a backsheet(5) may be attached by means of welding or TOXing(22). The bottom ledge (Ib) also includes an outwardly projecting ledge that is provided with spaced through going bores along the length of the side- and end panels for i-eceiving fasteners (20) therein that allow the collector to be fastened to a roof structure (19) or the like.

Abstract: A seamless surround for a rectangular skylight assembly is provided. Each side of the rectangular surround is characterized as having an obtuse-angled profile having an angle of between greater than 90 degrees and about 100 degrees, the profile including a vertically extending surface and a downwardly sloping surface. The vertically extending surfaces abut curb members attached to the skylight assembly and include apertures therethrough for receipt of a joining element. The downwardly sloping surfaces abut a building rooftop and further include apertures therethrough for receipt of a joining element. The roof-abutting side of the downwardly sloping surfaces includes a barrier material attached thereto. The barrier material may be any suitable air and water barrier, such as a polyurethane foam or a thermoplastic elastomer. A method of installing a skylight having the seamless surround is also provided.

Abstract: A solar collector with a rectangular frame (1), preferably made of extruded or rollformed metal, containing an absorber plate (3), an insulating layer (2) beneath the absorber plate (3), and a cover pane (4) spaced above the absorber (3). Absorber tubing (3b.3c) is attached to the rear side of the absorber plate. The absorber (3) is secured to the frame (1) by mounting brackets (11a,11b) that engage the absorber tubing (3b,3c) and allow for substantially unhindered thermal expansion and contraction of the absorber. The collector can be integrated or roof mounted on a pitched roof, or may be installed on a flat roof by means of a mounting frame.

Abstract: The roof window assembly comprises a main frame component and a window component including a glazing element. In order to reduce the influx of light an external screening accessory is provided. The screening accessory comprises an elongate housing extending in parallel with the top and bottom members of the frame and from which a screening member is retractable by movement parallel to the side members of the frame. An end member connected with a free end of the screening member extends throughout the width of the window frame and includes engaging means at either end of the end member for engagement with a transverse inwards recess in the outer side of each side member of the window frame.

Abstract: A roof window assembly is composed of a window component, a main frame component and, optionally, an integrated flashing component. The window component may be used independently and without modifications for a roof window installation employing a curb-frame. The window component features a novel design with an glazing element fitted in a profiled sheet metal frame, which can be made from a single continuous sheet metal profile bent into a polygonal frame shape with corner junctions. In both fixed and ventilating versions of the roof window assembly identical connecting members into open mutual engagement at the top side of the window and main frame components provides for easy mounting and dismounting of the window component with respect to the main frame component.

Abstract: The roller blind is for use in connection with roof windows mounted in pitched roofs and comprises a preferably spring-loaded roller tube (1) which is mountable at the top of the frame or sash structure of the window and a flexible roller blind cloth (2) rolled up thereon as well as an arrangement for retaining the roller blind cloth (2) when rolled out against the spring-load on the roller tube (1) at least in a fully rolled-out condition of the roller blind cloth (2), in which the roller blind cloth (2) in at least a comparatively narrow, ribbon-shaped zone (4) in parallel with the rollertuber (1) is designed for fastening an edge portion of an additional cloth (3) when the roller blind cloth (2) is rolled out, will hang freely down therefrom and when the roller blind is rolled up follow the roller blind cloth (2) during its rolling up on the roller tube (1).

Abstract: A supporting mechanism for a window screening device comprises a first pair of bracket members for mounting on each of a pair of opposed parallel frame surfaces of the frame structure and a second pair of coupling members engageable by the screening device. Each bracket member and each coupling member comprises an engaging mechanism for releasable sliding engagement of a coupling member with a bracket member. Each bracket member or each coupling member is provided with a resilient mechanism engageable with an abutment of a coupling member or a bracket member to retain the bracket member and the coupling member in mutual engagement. The bracket members are identical standard members each comprising a relatively flat front part protruding from said frame surface and having a substantially smooth external surface and engaging mechanism formed by a pair of opposed parallel side edges.
