  • Patent number: 11905944
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a flap valve in a diaphragm pump. The flap valve includes a body and a self-centering hinge portion. A front portion of the body includes a front surface having a raised portion and a recessed portion. The front surface is configured to form a seal with a surface of the pump when the body is in a closed position, the surface of the pump being at an inlet or an outlet of a pumping chamber. The body is configured to allow a downstream flow of a fluid when the flap valve is in an open position. The self-centering hinge portion is operably connected to the body. The self-centering hinge portion has a dynamically changing longitudinal axis. The body is configured to simultaneously translate and rotate about the dynamically changing longitudinal axis to form the seal.

  • Publication number: 20230332590
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for an air operated double diaphragm pump with a selectably removable valve body for convenient repair and maintenance. The pump may include an inlet, an outlet, and first and second diaphragm chamber housings. Each first and second diaphragm chamber housings defines a diaphragm chamber. A valve body housing is arranged between the first and second diaphragm chamber housings. A valve body is arranged within the valve body housing, is in fluid communication with the diaphragm chambers of the first and second diaphragm chamber housings, and includes pilot signal ports, diaphragm chamber inlet ports, and chamber exhaust ports that are all accessible on a signal surface of the valve body. The signal surface may be on a same side of the valve body. To stabilize the pump during repair and maintenance, stabilizing feet may project from outer edges of the diaphragm chamber housings.

  • Publication number: 20230265845
Abstract: One or more systems are disclosed for a diaphragm pump. The diaphragm pump includes a valve inlet portion elongated in a first direction along a longitudinal axis, and a valve outlet portion coupled to the valve inlet portion. A ball check valve is arranged between the valve inlet portion and the valve outlet portion. The ball check valve includes a sealing ring arranged over the valve inlet portion, and a ball arranged over the sealing ring. The ball is configured to move between a seated position and an unseated position, wherein a central axis of the ball extends through a center of the ball and in the first direction, wherein the central axis is coincident with the longitudinal axis when the ball is in the seated position, and wherein the central axis is offset from the longitudinal axis when the ball is in the unseated position.

  • Patent number: 4567572
Abstract: An information processor is described which is especially suitable for efficiently sorting large quantities of binary data. Data in a plurality of storage devices is fed to a plurality of compare-exchange modules and is then selectively passed back to the storage devices by means of multi-input switches. A programmable microprocessor controls passage of data through the various components in an iterative process.

  • Patent number: 4161036
Abstract: A dynamic memory is disclosed, in which data is rearranged among its internal memory locations in accordance with either of two different shuffle operations. The shuffle operations, an In Shuffle and an Out Shuffle, rearrange the data in a manner similar to the manner in which cards of a deck are rearranged when shuffled. Using only the two shuffle operations, a method of random accessing data in the theoretical minimum time is disclosed, for all odd-sized memories and all memories of size 2.sup.r. Once a desired datum has been accessed, successive data can be sequentially accessed in unit time. Processes for sequential accessing of data are shown to be related to the existence of sequences of In and Out Shuffles which move each datum through the read/write window of the memory, which sequences are defined as tours. A method for determining the existence of and for constructing tours for certain sized memories is also disclosed.
