  • Patent number: 12050180
Abstract: A plasma chamber for containing a solution electrode glow discharge (SEGD) apparatus, the plasma chamber comprising a hollow body and a ventilation unit. The hollow body is configured to enclose a plasma generated between a solid electrode and a solution electrode, the hollow body comprising an inlet opening, an outlet opening, and at least one viewing port for letting light generated from the plasma leave the hollow body. The ventilation unit is configured to move air from outside the hollow body into the inlet, through a portion of the hollow body located between the viewing port and a gap between the solid electrode and the solution electrode, and out of hollow body from the outlet, thereby creating an air curtain for removal from an optical path between the plasma and the viewing port of at least some vapor created by vaporization of liquid in the plasma.

  • Publication number: 20140100099
Abstract: Filter rods for use in the manufacture of cigarette filter elements are provided, with each rod having a longitudinal axis and incorporating a generally longitudinally extending filter material and a generally longitudinally extending strand within that filter material. A filter making unit receives a continuous supply of a filter material, and forms the filter material into a gathered composite having a continuous cylindrical shape. A continuous supply of a strand (e.g., colored thread) is provided and is introduced into the filter material gathered composite in the tongue of the filter making unit. The filter material and continuous strand positioned therein are formed into a continuous rod having the strand material laterally positioned within that rod, and the continuous rod is subdivided at pre-determined longitudinal intervals to provide a plurality of rod portions.

  • Publication number: 20110147020
Abstract: The T-Point Lift is an electrically actuated, hydraulic, removable three-point hitch/lift assembly, which is installed on vehicles and equipment having a 2? receiver mount, for quick installation and removal by one person. An inverted T shaped mounting frame with mounting points for an upper lift arm and two lower lift arms is inserted into a vehicles receiver. A hydraulic cylinder is mounted to the lift frame and upper lift arm which carries any attached load with assistance from attached lift links transferring the load to lower lift arms and providing sway control. An electrical power source is the only requirement for the attached hydraulic power pack with controls, thus not requiring any modification to the vehicle or equipment, to employ the apparatus in the manor for which it was designed, which tractor implements can be installed and used in accordance with their intended use up to and including category 1 three point implements.

  • Publication number: 20050154976
Abstract: A method and system automatically converts (140) standards-noncompliant metamodel systems into standards-compliant metamodel systems. The invention begins by substituting automatically (152,174) standards-noncompliant hyperlinks in first metamodel system with standards-compliant hyperlinks. Substituting automatically (156,158) standards-noncompliant entity names associated with entities standards-compliant entity names occurs in the process. Then, the invention substitutes automatically (156,158) standards-noncompliant file names for associated files with standards-compliant file names for the associated files. Organizing (160) entities having standards-compliant entity names into files having standards-compliant file names further occurs. The invention converts (164) object identity values associated with objects into a single predetermined object identity value.

  • Publication number: 20050071750
Abstract: An automated metamodel system file generation method and system (146) generates a plurality of metamodel files (148) using a set of metamodel requirements (144) derived for a metamodel system (180). The invention includes the steps of and instructions for (180, 182) capturing for a metamodel system (80) a set of metamodel requirements (144). The system (146) saves the captured set of metamodel requirements in at least one requirements spreadsheet (152) and then opens (146) the spreadsheet (152) to make accessible the captured set of metamodel requirements. The system (146) further generates at least one each of an object type spreadsheet (192), a relationship type spreadsheet (198), and a symbol type spreadsheet (188) by applying a predetermined set of generation instructions to said at least one requirements spreadsheet (152).

  • Publication number: 20050071362
Abstract: A method and system for constituting an integrated enterprise taxonomy(222) for an intellectual capital management system serving a plurality of local enterprise communities(80) and include the steps of and instructions for extracting a plurality of local taxonomies from the plurality of local enterprise communities(224, 240). The invention correlates from each of the plurality of local taxonomies a set of topics(164) and a set of associations(168) for generating a correlated topics and associations set(160) relating to each of the plurality of local taxonomies(224, 240). The system and method further derive a plurality of synonym links(262, 264, and 266) for linking synonyms within the correlated topics and associations set(260). The invention integrates the plurality of synonym links and the correlated topics and associations set into an integrated enterprise taxonomy(222). Then, the method and system export the integrated enterprise taxonomy into the intellectual capital management system.
