  • Patent number: 10321636
Abstract: A vegetation trimming assembly has at least one cutting blade with a cutting edge that moves guidingly within a blade working space between facing first and second fixed surfaces. The first surface is defined in part by a body with a fixed shape, including a head and a stepped diameter shank with a larger diameter portion to guide movement of the one cutting blade and a smaller diameter portion that is threaded to engage a support defining the second surface. The body is selectively turned in opposite directions to thereby increase and decrease a depth of the blade working space.

  • Patent number: 10037071
Abstract: A computing device apparatus facilitates use of a deep low power mode that includes powering off the device's CPU by including a software routine configured to be run by the CPU that effects saving to a non-volatile memory a state of the CPU and/or the device's peripherals before entering the deep low-power mode. The software routine can be configured to control this state storage in response to detecting a low power event, i.e., loss of power sufficient to run the CPU, or a software command to enter the deep low power mode to save power as part of an efficiency program. Then, upon wake up from the deep low power mode, the software routine is first run by the CPU to effect restoring from the non-volatile memory the state of the CPU and the peripherals before execution of a primary application for the central processing unit.

  • Patent number: 9692445
Abstract: A system includes a storage device containing machine instructions and a plurality of digital values of an oversampled sinuisoidal signal. The system also includes a core coupled to the storage. The core is configured to execute the machine instructions, wherein, when executed, the machine instructions cause the core to implement a sigma-delta modulator that retrieves the plurality of digital values from the storage device as input to the modulator. The sigma-delta modulator is configured compute an output bit stream. The system further includes an analog filter configured to receive the output bit stream from the core and to low-pass filter the output bit stream to produce a sinusoidal output signal.

  • Patent number: 9132568
Abstract: A saw having a power unit with a drive component and a housing for the power unit with a frame. A bar on the housing guides movement of an operatively positioned cutting chain driven by the drive component in an endless path. The bar is movable guidingly in opposite directions in a predetermined path relative to the housing to thereby vary tension upon an operatively positioned cutting chain. A bar fixing assembly has a knob that is turnable around a first axis relative to the housing in: a) a first direction to a tightened state; and b) a second direction to a loosened state. A first assembly resiliently bears against the knob to at least one of: a) inhibit turning of the knob around the first axis; b) provide a sensory indication to a user grasping and turning the knob that the knob is moving around the first axis; and c) reduce play in the knob.
