  • Patent number: 11876837
Abstract: A user of a client device accesses a service provided by a server computer. The server computer gathers data about the user. The data gathered may be kept private by the server computer, shared only with other computers and users owned by the same entity, shared with selected third parties, or made public. The server computer provides a privacy policy document that describes how the data gathered is used. A privacy server analyzes the privacy policy document and, based on the analysis, generates a privacy score. The privacy score or an informational message selected based on the privacy score are provided to the client device. In response, the client device presents the privacy score or the informational message to the user. In this way, the user is informed of privacy risks that result from accessing the server computer.

  • Publication number: 20210383408
Abstract: A provider of a service (e.g., a medical service) submits a request for authorization to bill for the service (e.g., a request for authorization to bill an insurance company of the recipient of the service). The recipient of the request (e.g., a medical services clearinghouse) informs a fraud prevention of the request. The fraud prevention communicates (e.g., by text message or email) with a computing device (e.g., a cell phone or desktop computer) associated with the recipient of the service to determine if the request is legitimate. If the request is not legitimate, the clearinghouse, the insurance company, the medical service provider or any suitable combination thereof is notified of the issue. By taking action on this notification, benefit eligibility fraud is avoided.

  • Publication number: 20210192067
Abstract: A user interface for interacting with multiple databases allows a user to lock or unlock access to their data in multiple databases simultaneously, each database being controlled by a different entity. A user interface server communicates with servers of the multiple databases to request that the consumer's data be locked or unlocked. The user interface server may also report to the consumer the lock status of the consumer's data in each of the multiple databases. To authenticate the user, the user interface for interacting with multiple databases may provide one or more authentication prompts prior to allowing the user to lock or unlock access to their data. The authentication prompts may be provided by one or more of the multiple entities.
