  • Publication number: 20240125014
Abstract: A creel system includes a plurality of tension controller apparatuses that hold spools of wire. The tension controller apparatuses apply tension to the wire and may be manipulated to fine-tune or control the tension applied to the wire. The creel system may further include a plurality of sensors that measure operation of the creel system as well as the condition of the wire. In such embodiments, the creel system may include a user-interface that provides data to the operator in real time and with which the operator may interact to control operation of the creel system.

  • Patent number: 9389106
Abstract: A remote seal assembly for subsea applications is provided. The assembly includes an upper housing having a fluid coupling for coupling the remote seal to a process fluid pressure measurement device. A lower housing is coupled to the upper housing and has an interface that is configured to mount to a pressure vessel. The lower housing also has a process fluid inlet. An isolation diaphragm is disposed between the upper and lower housings. At least one of the upper housing, lower housing and isolation diaphragm are constructed from a material suitable for immersion in saltwater. In some embodiments, the lower housing has a shoulder disposed about the process fluid inlet and a plurality of self-energizing seals configured to couple the assembly to a venturi flow meter body. A subsea process fluid flow measurement system is also provided that includes a pressure transmitter and at least one subsea remote seal assembly.

  • Patent number: 5651790
Abstract: A cannula for use in endoscopic surgical procedures, the procedures including use of an endoscope and a surgical instrument. The cannula has two ends with a continuous passageway extending between the ends. The cannula has a slot extending along its length through which tissue can be viewed by the endoscope and accessed by the surgical instrument. The slot is bounded by a crosspiece at one of its ends. The cannula may be tapered and may have a guard at the end of the cannula opposite the crosspiece.

  • Patent number: 5458611
Abstract: An improved method and instrument design for performing endoscopic transverse carpal ligament release surgery. The improved instrument design comprises a working end, such as a knife blade, a rasp, a curette or a blunt right angle probe, connected to a handle. The handle is positioned at an angle of approximately 21 degrees relative to the working end. The improved method eliminates the step of retracting the flexor tendons and/or ulnar nerve at any time during the surgery. Furthermore, the design of two knife blades is described that allows the number of cutting steps involved in the surgery to be reduced from five to three.

  • Patent number: 5130568
Abstract: A scannable latch system comprises a plurality of scannable latches and clock driver circuit that allow at-speed testing of integrated circuits. Each scannable latch comprises a master latch, a slave latch and an auxiliary latch. The master latch is a two input latch capable of receiving data from two sources. The output of the master latch is coupled to the input of the slave and auxiliary latches. The clock driver circuitry receives a clock and control signals which are transformed into signals that operate the scannable latch in three different modes. In the normal mode, the slave latch is transparent and the data is held primarily in the master latch. In the scan mode, data may be shifted into the master, shifted out through the auxiliary latch, or shifted both in and out with a propagate function. Finally, in a test mode independent data values may be stored in the master latch and the slave latch.
