    Abstract: There is provided an optical structure. The optical structure includes a light source. The optical structure also includes an organic light management film having an index of refraction of less than 1.7 disposed above the light source, and a transparent inorganic film having an index of refraction of greater than 1.7 disposed adjacent the organic light management film. A optical device is also provided including the organic light management film and the transparent inorganic film. A method of forming the optical structure is also provided. The method includes depositing the transparent inorganic film under vacuum.

    Abstract: Disclosed are blends of polyesteramides and polyester resins, optionally with polycarbonates, as well as methods for preparing said blends thereof. Preferred polyesteramides are those comprising amide units of formula (I): ##STR1## and ester units of formula (II): ##STR2## wherein the ratio of (I) to (II) is at least 1:1, and more preferably wherein at least 80% of the units of formula (I) are separated by at least one of the units of formula (II).

    Abstract: A thermoplastic resin composition is provided containing (a) a polyester resin having a hydroxyl level of at least 45 meq/kg, (b) a polycarbonate resin, (c) a quencher and preferably (d) a graft copolymer containing a rubbery substrate and a rigid superstrate. The thermoplastic resin composition exhibits enhanced resistance to property degradation during molding and exhibits enhanced paint adhesion properties. The composition is useful for making painted articles such as automotive bumpers.
