  • Publication number: 20190099545
Abstract: Automated systems and methods for processing a biological cell suspension are disclosed. The systems and methods allow for the processing of large volumes of a biological cell suspension contained in or more source containers.
    Type: Application
    Filed: September 27, 2018
    Publication date: April 4, 2019
Inventors: Christopher J. Wegener, Steven C. Binninger, Alaina Schlinker, Bret Olson
  • Publication number: 20180094723
Abstract: A controller for a vehicle propulsion system that includes a prime mover, a transmission connected to the prime mover to receive input torque on an input shaft and to convert the input torque to an output torque on an output shaft, a transmission input shaft speed sensor, and a transmission output shaft speed sensor. The controller provides a gear ratio value that is based upon a signal indicating an operating condition of the transmission other than a signal from the transmission input shaft speed sensor and the transmission output shaft sensor.
    Type: Application
    Filed: October 5, 2016
    Publication date: April 5, 2018
Inventors: Ronald F. Lochocki, JR., Moussa Ndiaye, Bret Olson, Paul G. Otanez, Mark S. Reinhart, Jeryl McIver
  • Patent number: 9713669
Abstract: A method is provided for separating a suspension of cellular material comprising at least two differently-sized cell types using a spinning membrane separator. The method comprises selecting the cell type to be separated by passing through the membrane; determining a concentration of the selected cell type in the suspension; selecting an inlet flow rate for the suspension; selecting a rotational speed for the spinning membrane separator related to one or more of the concentration and relative size of the selected cell type in the suspension; rotating the spinning membrane separator at the selected rotational speed so that the selected cell type tends to migrate to regions of the shear field adjacent the porous membrane; and flowing the suspension through the spinning membrane separator.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 26, 2013
Date of Patent: July 25, 2017
    Assignee: Fenwal, Inc.
Inventors: Christopher Wegener, Bret Olson, Kyungyoon Min
