  • Publication number: 20120197398
Abstract: An implant and method for insertion between adjacent vertebral members. The implant comprises an implant body with a base section having a plurality of base extensions, and an end cap adapted for selective axial positioning at a selected point on the base section. The end cap comprises locking, variable slot and flexing apertures configured to receive corresponding base extensions, and a variable aperture slot extending through the end cap which is adapted to enable the end cap to resiliently contract as the end cap is positioned on the base section. The locking apertures and flexing apertures will prevent rotational movement of the end cap relative to the base section once the end cap is secured to the base section. The implant imparts end cap height and angulation to an adjacent vertebral body at the selected or desired point when the implant is positioned in the intervertebral space.

  • Patent number: 7293364
Abstract: A measurement device to determining a length of an anatomical feature is provided. In one embodiment, the measurement device is a depth gauge adapted to measure the depth of a vertebral endplate. The depth gauge may includes a probe that travels into the disc space. The depth gauge also includes a cam dial for indicating measurements.

  • Publication number: 20070173855
Abstract: The present application is directed to devices and methods to space apart vertebral members over two or more spinal levels. Embodiments of the devices may include a power source, supply line, and adjustable members. The adjustable members may be positioned along two or more spinal levels. The supply line may extend between each of the members and the power source. Activation of the power source may feed power through the supply line and to each of the adjustable members. Members may move from a closed orientation towards an open orientation to space the vertebral members.
