  • Patent number: 9411059
Abstract: A solid state seismic trigger switch has a tube, a first wire with a first end that extends into the tube, a soldered mass attached to the first end of the first wire, and a second wire in communication with the tube. The first wire and the soldered mass are suspended within the tube. The tube, the first wire, the second wire, and the soldered mass are conductive. The first wire and the second wire are electrically connected to a seismic recorder. Contact between the soldered mass and an interior wall of the tube closes an electrical circuit between the seismic recorder and the tube.

  • Publication number: 20120063271
Abstract: A solid state seismic trigger switch for contact closure. Capable of being utilized by all seismic recording devices. Consisting of two wires, an air filled copper tube and an outer protective hull. One of the wires goes through the center of the air filled copper tube. Along this wire, near the end, a variable mass of solder is made. The other wire is coiled tightly around the outside of the air filled copper tube or lain up against it. The copper tube and the two wires are then enclosed inside a aluminum, steel, or brass hull with a packing media, such as silicone. This device when attached to a given seismic source such as a sledge hammer or weight drop will precisely, reliably provide a time zero, instantaneous recording point for seismic data.

  • Patent number: 7086258
Abstract: An electronic lock box contains a secure compartment for storing keys to a structure. A linear actuator moves in one direction opening the door to the secure compartment, and moves in the opposite direction releasing a shackle that holds the lock box to the structure. A lock box system uses an encryption algorithm to diversify user PIN data at a central computer, and stores that diversified information on a memory card for later use when the user attempts to access a lock box. The central computer and electronic lock box both keep track of system “epoch time,” and the memory card must be presented to the electronic lock box within a correct epoch time window for the diversified PIN data to be successfully decrypted and compared to the user's PIN data that is entered on a keypad of the electronic lock box.

  • Patent number: 6701545
Abstract: A multiple level elevating cot adapted to be rolled into emergency vehicles, the cot having a wheeled undercarriage supporting a cot frame having a leading end and a trailing end, and adapted to selectively secure the cot frame in a plurality of elevational positions. The cot frame includes a pair of side extension arms provided between the leading end and the trailing end, each of the side extension arms being adapted to slidably extend outwardly from a stowed position adjacent the cot frame to an extended position substantially perpendicular to the cot frame. The cot frame may form a part of an integral stretcher or may serve as a carrier to which a separable top structure, such as a stretcher/stair chair, may be detachably secured, the cot frame including seats for slidably receiving the top structure and latching means for securing the top structure to the cot frame.
