  • Patent number: 11963850
Abstract: A mechanical wound therapy (MWT) system includes a connection for a vacuum source, which is routed through an airtight covering to a porous material positioned over the wound. The porous material may be a tubing network interspaced by a netting material constructed of biologically inert or bioabsorbable material. Alternatively, the porous material may be a layered unified dressing in which layers of mesh, netting or thin perforated film are separated and fixedly attached to functional elements of the dressing (e.g., irrigation tubing) or spacers. The vacuum and irrigation systems may be completely separated. An airtight sealing layer or foldable adhesive sealing layer may seal the dressing and facilitate sealing the dressing to the wound margins. Additional modular devices such as a wound approximating system, positive pressure bladders and adjuvant therapy modules as well as enhanced monitoring technology can be added to synergistically increase the capabilities of each dressing.

  • Patent number: 11865013
Abstract: A spinal fixation system includes an expandable disc replacement body and an adjustment mechanism. The expandable disc replacement body includes a first wall, a second wall, a hinge connecting the first wall and the second wall, and a first bone-screw receiving section at a proximal end of the first wall. The adjustment mechanism is positioned between the first wall and the second wall, and an angle between the first wall and the second wall can be varied by movement of the adjustment mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20230256154
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for a sub-atmospheric wound-care (SAWS) system for treating an open wound. The SAWS system includes a regulated vacuum source for developing a negative pressure, a flow rate meter configured to measure a flow rate of liquid removed from the wound, a primary pressure regulating sensor located proximate the wound for directly measuring the negative pressure at the wound, a backup pressure regulating sensor located vacuum tube, a porous dressing suitable to be sealed airtight which is positioned within a wound interface chamber, a collection canister configured to collect said liquid removed from the wound, and an adapter configured to use wall suction a primary regulated vacuum source.

  • Publication number: 20220339002
Abstract: A spinal fixation system includes an expandable disc replacement body and an angle-setting disc replacement holder; The expandable disc replacement body includes a first wall, a second wall, and a hinge connecting the first wall and the second wall. An insertion instrument may be used to implant the expandable disc replacement body into a subject. The disc replacement holder is positioned between the first wall and the second wall, and an angle and/or height between the first wall and the second wall can be varied by adjustment of the disc replacement holder and locked into place using locking mechanisms.
