  • Patent number: 11080511
Abstract: In an example, a method includes capturing one or more friction ridge images of a finger at an instance in time, the one or more friction ridge images including a plurality of perspectives of the finger. The method also includes determining, from the one or more friction ridge images, a rolled fingerprint representation of the finger, the rolled fingerprint representation comprising data from the plurality of perspectives, and outputting the rolled fingerprint representation.

  • Patent number: 10885297
Abstract: The non-contact capture device allows for an image of an object to be captured when the object is not making contact with any portion of the non-contact capture device. The non-contact capture device comprises an electronic compartment comprising a camera and a light source, wherein the camera and light source are directed to an image capture region, a housing guide comprising a leg extending away from the electronic compartment to support a collar, and an image capture region spaced away from the electronic compartment and the housing guide. The collar extends laterally around only a portion of the image capture region forming an entry gap into the image capture region.

  • Patent number: 10769402
Abstract: A non-contact friction ridge capture device is described. The device comprises a device housing, the device housing including an electronics compartment and an illumination shield, with an opening between the electronics compartment and the illumination shield into which a user can insert the user's hand. The device further comprising a camera disposed in the electronics compartment for capturing an image of at least one friction ridge surface on a user's hand. The device further comprises a light source disposed in the electronics compartment, the light source emitting light in the direction of the illumination shield, wherein the peak wavelength of emitted light is in the range of 440 to 570 nanometers (nm). The user's hand is not required to contact the device when the camera captures the image of at least one friction ridge surface on a user's hand.

  • Publication number: 20200113265
Abstract: An accessory mounting system (30) and a helmet (10) that includes such systems are disclosed. The accessory mounting system (30) includes a plate (32) adapted to be permanently connected to a substantially continuous portion of a ballistic layer (12) of a helmet, where the ballistic layer has an outer surface (14). The plate (32) includes an inner surface (34) and an outer surface (36), where the inner surface of the plate is adapted to be disposed in contact with an outer surface of the ballistic layer. The accessory mounting system also includes an accessory rail (50) adapted to be removably connected to the plate, where the accessory rail includes an inner surface (52) and an outer surface (54). The inner surface of the accessory rail is adapted to be disposed in contact with the plate.
