  • Patent number: 7631575
Abstract: An improved adjustable rotary locking and unlocking device that utilizes a pushbutton to unlock teeth on a spring loaded hub drive that mesh within a swivel member. Once the hub drive and swivel member are disengaged by pressure on the pushbutton, the swivel member is freely moveable to any other position. Release of pressure on the pushbutton allows the teeth of the spring loaded hub to re-engage the teeth of the swivel member, thereby rigidly locking the device in place.

  • Publication number: 20090141235
Abstract: Devices and methods for controlling myopia are provided. The devices and methods relate to the inventors discovery of the relationship between near work, the forces applied to the eye by the eyelids and myopia. The devices include a contact lens comprising a region that disperses force applied to the eye by an eyelid. The devices also include a device designed by measuring first wavefront aberrations of an eye before pre-near work and measuring second measured wavefront aberrations of the eye post-near work. The methods include a method for controlling myopia including identifying optical changes associated with near work and correcting the optical changes with an optical device.

  • Patent number: 6565154
Abstract: A portable forward leaning seating device to be used on a bleacher at sporting events to provide the user with superior support to that portion of his back which is most susceptible to fatigue and pain. The device consists of a padded seat (10) attached to a seat frame (12) which is securely attached to the bleacher by a spring loaded hook (42). The user sits on the padded seat (10) by facing the sporting event with the adjustable vertical support sleave (14) positioned between the user's thighs. The user rests his arms on the padded horizontal arm rests (16) which are positioned using the adjusting knob (32) and spring loaded tab (38) in such a way to provide comfortable support to the torso of the user in a forward leaning fashion. The lock clasp (20) serves to lock the vertical support armature (18) securely in place.
