Abstract: The invention relates to a work garment (1) that can be worn by a user. The garment has a main (or torso disposed) portion (3) including with an area of fastening (4) on its external surface. A belt (11) is attached to at least one point of the interior surface or the garment. A pouch or pouches (17) for containing or holding tools, utensils or the like (19) has complementary fastening means (27) to the area of fastening on the main garment to suspend the pouches from the garment. The load of the pouch is largely borne via the main garment portion on the user's shoulders, and the belt means can be adjusted to aid support of the load and/or the user.
