Patent number: 9547838Abstract: The present disclosure provides an automated scheme for generating and verifying a three-dimensional (3D) representation of a target space. In one embodiment, the automatic generation of a 3D representation of a target space includes receiving target space data from one or more mobile data capture devices and generating a local point cloud from the target space data. In one embodiment, the local point cloud is incorporated into a master point cloud. In one embodiment, a polygon mesh is generated using the master point cloud and the polygon mesh is rendered, using a plurality of visual images captured from the target space, which generates the 3D representation. In one embodiment, the automatic verification includes comparing a portion of the 3D representation with a portion of an approved layout, and identifying one or more discrepancies between the portion of the 3D representation and the portion of the approved layout.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 2013Date of Patent: January 17, 2017Assignee: ORACLE INTERNATIONAL CORPORATIONInventor: Brett J. Publication number: 20150074765Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer readable storage medium are disclosed for registration and configuration of point-of-service (POS) devices. The method includes using a device identifier in determining whether a device is authorized to access a retail point-of-service application. In response to a determination that the device is authorized, the method includes allowing the device access to the POS application and providing the device with application profile information for the POS application. The apparatus includes a processor, a network interface configured for communication with a POS device, and a POS interface application configured to use a device identifier in determining whether a device is authorized to access a retail POS application. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium is configured to store program instructions that when executed are configured to cause a processor to perform the method.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 28, 2014Publication date: March 12, 2015Applicant: Oracle International CorporationInventors: Ronald W. Patent number: 8452925Abstract: Systems and methods for managing cached content are disclosed. More particularly, embodiments disclosed herein may allow cached content to be updated (e.g. regenerated or replaced) in response to a notification. Specifically, embodiments disclosed herein may process a notification pertaining to content stored in a cache. Processing the notification may include locating cached content associated with the notification. After the cached content which corresponds to the notification is found, an appropriate action may be taken. For example, the cached content may be flushed from the cache or a request may be regenerated. As a result of the action, new content is generated. This new content is then used to replace or update the cached content.Type: GrantFiled: October 14, 2010Date of Patent: May 28, 2013Assignee: Open Text S.A.Inventors: Lee Shepstone, Conleth S. O'Connell, Jr., Mark R. Scheevel, Newton Isaac Rajkumar, Jamshid Afshar, Jr., Puhong You, Brett J. Larsen, David Dean Caldwell

Patent number: 7899991Abstract: Systems and methods which provide an extensible caching framework are disclosed. These systems and methods may provide a caching framework which can evaluate individual parameters of a request for a particular piece of content. Modules capable of evaluating individual parameters of an incoming request may be added and removed from this framework. When a request for content is received, parameters of the request can be evaluated by the framework and a cache searched for responsive content based upon this evaluation. If responsive content is not found in the cache, responsive content can be generated and stored in the cache along with associated metadata and a signature formed by the caching framework. This signature may aid in locating this content when a request for similar content is next received.Type: GrantFiled: June 21, 2010Date of Patent: March 1, 2011Assignee: Vignette Software LLCInventors: N. Isaac Rajkumar, Puhong You, David Dean Caldwell, Brett J. Larsen, Jamshid Afshar, Conleth O'Connell
