    Abstract: A method of detecting bonus redemption fraud in a gaming system includes capturing an image of a player's game play on a gaming machine with a camera on a mobile device. The image is sent to a server that analyzes the image for fraud. The server identifies a symbol matrix from the image. The symbol matrix comprises an arrangement of symbols for the game. The server validates the symbol matrix to determine if a bonus condition is met. The server also determines a state of the game with optical character recognition techniques and analyzes the symbol matrix to determine if the matrix is valid. The server compares the symbol matrix against other bonus redemptions for the same game. In response to the analysis indicating that the request to redeem the bonus is fraudulent, the server denies payment of the bonus.

The captured image is sent via a network to a server that determines a game paytable, a current state of the game and a current wager amount from the captured image, then determines one or more possible strategies for the game based on that data. The game paytable, current state, current wager amount and one or more possible strategies are then transmitted to the mobile device and displayed. At least one of the possible strategies may be selected at the mobile device, wherein the odds of one or more possible game outcomes for the selected strategy are displayable on the display.

    Abstract: There is provided a gaming system and methods that utilize a presentation assembly configured to present a series of spins of a plurality of reels arranged in an array, the array including a subset of the array in which weights are assigned to the symbols within the subset. Determination of winning combinations of the symbols in the array is based, in part, on the weights assigned to the symbols. If any wins occur as the result of a spin, the wins are paid, the winning combinations are removed, and the array shifts to fill in the removed symbols. The subset of the array is randomly repositioned and resized, and weights are added to one or more symbols in the new subset of the array. Any newly resulting wins are paid, and the process repeats until no wins occur, at which point the spin ends.

Processing the gaming application further includes determining that the condition is satisfied for a current player and generating a message to indicate that the current player's turn at gameplay is terminated. A display presents the generated message to the one or more players.
