The first composition includes a first gelator, the first gelator including a plurality of acylhydrazine moieties. The second composition includes a second gelator, the second gelator including a plurality of formyl moieties. At least one of the first composition and the second composition includes a prepolymer. The invention further provides a method of using the polymer system to form a polymeric material via multiple stages to more effectively control the rheology of the components over a variety of timescales.
