Patent number: 11511942Abstract: Systems for automatically leveling a base frame of a bulk material transport conveyor include radial travel wheels mounted on generally opposing sides of the base frame that can move from a raised position above the ground to a lowered position in contact with the ground to permit radial travel of the conveyor. Actuators normally used to raise or lower the radial travel wheels may be actuated automatically by a controller in response to a signal from an inclination and/or limit sensor mounted on the conveyor that represents a non-level orientation of the conveyor, to level the base frame.Type: GrantFiled: April 22, 2021Date of Patent: November 29, 2022Assignee: Superior Industries, Inc.Inventors: Brett Nelson, Scott Oberg, Steven Haugen, Bryan Weiss

Patent number: 11471365Abstract: A lip-enhancement device can include a vacuum pump, a controller configured to control the vacuum pump, a pump housing structured to enclose the vacuum pump and the controller, and a mouthpiece reversibly and rigidly mountable to the pump housing. The mouthpiece can include a pump-housing-engaging side structured to reversibly mount to the pump housing on a mouthpiece-receiving side of the pump housing, and a lips-engaging side having a generally oval rim with a thermoplastic elastomer outer layer. The generally oval rim can bound a bowl, and the bowl can include a suction port providing fluidic communication between an interior of the bowl and an exterior of the bowl on the pump-housing-engaging side. The mouthpiece-receiving side of pump housing can include a suction connector structured to fluidically couple the suction port of the mouthpiece with the vacuum pump when the mouthpiece is mounted to the pump housing.Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 2020Date of Patent: October 18, 2022Assignee: JUVALIPS, LLCInventors: Brett Nelson, Gina M Fredrickson, Logan Ernster, Tim Bachman

Patent number: 10067238Abstract: A system and method for recording in real-time the duration, position, and energy of ion beams as delivered by a proton or heavy ion cancer treatment system for the purpose of calibrating the radiological system and verifying the treatment plans for various lesions. The energy of the ion beam is calculated from the beam ion depth penetration through a phantom as recorded on a two-dimensional scintillator surface which is viewed by a sensitive visible-light camera mounted in a darkened enclosure. The energy of the beam is degraded by a multi-step dual-slope chevron wedge phantom which creates, at a minimum, two bright spots in the camera's field of view. The distance between the centers of these two spots along with the dimensions and density of the multi-step dual-slope chevron wedge are used to calculate the Bragg Peak penetration depth of the ion beam.Type: GrantFiled: August 13, 2014Date of Patent: September 4, 2018Inventor: Brett Nelson
