  • Patent number: 4933231
Abstract: An abrasion and tear resistant, high strength composite laminated padded fabric material for use in the fabrication of tradesmen and craftsmen work items such as aprons and nail bags, tool pouches and tool holders, cordless tool holsters, belts and back support pads, knee pads and the like. The composite fabric material of the invention is a heat and pressure formed double laminate of like outer primary layers of tight-woven threads of high-tenacity nylon fibers and an intermediate padding layer of cross-linked, high-density, closed-cell or open-cell, flexible synthetic polymer foam. The composite laminated fabric material is formed by first bonding one of the outer nylon fabric layers to one side of the intermediate foam layer and thereafter bonding the other outer nylon fabric layers to the other side of the intermediate foam layer.

  • Patent number: 4821933
Abstract: A tape rule holder formed from two die cut flat pieces of heavy duty, top grain saddle leather. The back piece includes belt slots in its upper section. The front piece or pocket-forming member is configured in its flat pre-assembly form with peripheral side rivet areas and a bottom rivet area each defined by a fold line. Approximately mid-way of each side rivet area of the front piece is a "v" notch. Upon rivet assembly of the front pocket-forming piece to the back piece, with the front piece bowed outwardly to form a tape rule pocket and the "v" notches of the side rivet areas closed, the resulting tape rule pocket includes side walls using inwardly projecting pressure detent ridges which together grip a tape rule inserted into the pocket of the holder and maintain the tape rule therein against accidental dislodgement.

  • Patent number: 4745916
Abstract: Sun blocking and glare reflective and absorptive tapes and patches for applications to skin areas of human individuals to block, reflect, deflect or absorb sunlight or artificial light to protect sensitive skin areas and the eyes. The tape and patch materials are comprised of a thin non-woven, random-spun synthetic fiber textile material capable of blocking ultra-violet radiation and a skin-compatible, pressure sensitive, non-toxic, hypo-allergenic, non-irritating adhesive applied to the textile material for holding same to the skin surface to be protected or reflect or absorb light glare. The non-woven textile material has a print surface on the side of such material opposite to the side bearing the pressure sensitive adhesive. The tape and patch material is mounted, for pre-use purpose, i.e., printing, packaging and storage, on release paper.
