Abstract: A system and method for affinity groups to enable peer-to-peer engagement, raise the relationship state of their membership and increase the probability of members making a purchase combined with a vehicle to accept a payment for a purchase. The system and method also allows an affinity group to capture and solicit a member while he/she is in a higher state before, at or subsequent to an engagement activity. The system and method include a central server or group of servers that the affinity group operates. The server includes software that enables the management of an electronic network of both peer-to-peer interaction and central-based interactions. The system and method uses data collected about the members, including historical data of previous affinity group activities and events to make predictions on when and what to offer members the opportunity to make purchases or donations related to the affinity group. Such offers are referred to as “Asks”.
